It has a few more with the idea of civil society, despite its having toyed with the concept in the last couple of years. This section of the panel wil look in detail at some the regulations that are now in place in Singapore, especially broadcast and Internet constraints, within a cultural politics context which has sought to redefine (and control) civil society under the rather less threatening concept of 'civic' society.
